Mission, tasks and functions of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan
- The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the central executive body implementing state policy in the field of defense, military-political and military-economic management of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as an authorized body in the field of state aviation.
- In peacetime, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan has a department – the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan carries out its activities in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acts of the President and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, other regulatory legal acts, as well as this Regulation.
- The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a legal entity in the legal form of a state institution, has seals and stamps with its name in the state language, letterhead of the established form, and also, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, accounts with the treasury.
- The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan enters into civil law relations on its own behalf.
Mission:
The mission of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan is to ensure the defense capability and military security of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Tasks:
- implementation of the state defense policy, as well as the implementation of a unified military-technical policy in the state;
- The implementation of military-political and military-economic control of the Armed Forces;
- ensuring combat readiness and combat readiness of the Armed Forces to repel aggression, armed defense of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the protection and defense of state and military installations, the protection of airspace, as well as the performance of tasks in accordance with international treaties ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan.
